Key Areas of Responsibility
Service and repair the full range of Kärcher and other branded Industrial cleaning equipment.

Main Tasks:

• Service and repair the full range of Kärcher and other branded Industrial cleaning equipment.
• Record all work carried out, complete the relevant reports on site, liaise with the customer and schedulers.
• Promote & sell maintenance contracts and other accessories.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a satisfactory and safe condition.
• Control van stocks
• To uphold and promote the STS/Kärcher brand.

Core Skills:

• Previous knowledge and experience of the Service Industry. Experience of cleaning equipment would be an advantage.
• Be able to work on own initiative, unsupervised and also as a team member.
• Formal mechanical/electrical qualifications.
• Previous experience in a Field Service engineering role – additionally CORGI/Gasafe registered would be an advantage.
• To have the aptitude to fault find, diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Ability to communicate with customers – both internal and external.
• PC/IT Literate.
• Full clean driving licence

• Internal Relations:
• Liaising with all other departments within the STS Cleaning Equipment and Shorrock Trichem organisation
• Talking to all managers and directors within the organisation.

External Relations:

• Dealers and customers as above but external to the company

Working Hours:
40 hrs per week.  With the ability to work hours between 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. All engineers may be asked to work occasional weekends & Bank Holidays as part of a weekend response team, this is determined by means of a rota system.
